Effect of Mass Ratio on Phytoremediation of Nickel Contaminated Water

چکیده
Water pollution is one of the global challenges that society must address in 21st century aiming to improve water quality, reduce human pollutants and ecosystem health impacts. In phytotoxicity test, plant Iresine herbstii was exposed remove nickel from simulated wastewater using two different ratios (mass mass nickel) (,Rp/Ni) for 21 days with sub-surface batch system. During exposure period, removal Ni concentrations (2, 5 10 mg/L) ratio (2,800 34,000) were (83.6%, 77.2%, 78.0%) (86.8%, 97% 95.6%), respectively. final result rate found highest occurred, 97%, at a 34,000 concentration mg/L. Metal accumulation mechanism plants examined bioconcentration factor (BCF) translocation (TF) metals which indicated I. suitable phytostabilization (BCF>1 TF<1). Therefore, ability treat contaminated considered potential water.

Effect of C/N Ratio on the Phytoremediation of Crude Oil Contaminated Soils by Puccinellia Distance
Petroleum contamination of soil is a serious problem throughout the oil producer countries. Vegetation may play an important role in the biodegradation of toxic organic chemicals in soil. For petroleum compounds, the presence of rhizosphere micro flora may accelerate biodegradation of the contaminants. In a greenhouse study, petroleum contaminated soil were treated using phytoremediation . ...
